Location — This modern casa is situated on Piro Guinart, in other words at the Cienfuegos entrance to the city. At the other end of the street (top of photo left) is the Viazul bus terminal facing the artisans shop (Palacio de los Artesanios) and the access to the pedestrian-only colonial quarter, the casco historico.
Through a private corkscrew staircase, guests come to a lovely and totally private patio with the Escambray mountains on the horizon. Since Fall 2008, Luis has completely redone the floor, adding a thatched awning over the terrace table and chairs, bringing shade to the street side of the roof. In photo below, at top of stairs, Luis, on left, poses with nephew and nieces.
The large air-conditioned bedroom is right by it with its two double beds, fridge, roof ventilation and table with chairs and in the back, its own bathroom. The owner can prepare and serve meals and lives downstairs.

Sur cet étage, se trouve une grande chambre indépendante, climatisée avec ventilateurs au plafond, avec deux lits doubles, table et chaises et au fond, la salle de bain privée.
Jolie terrasse ensoleillée, privée et réservée à la clientèle. L'étage ayant été rénové à l'automne 2008, elle est désormais couverte è l'avant et complètement réaménagée.
Le proprio vit au rez-de-chaussée — avec ses neveux et joyeux complices dans la casa, il est photographié (à gauche, ci-contre) en haut de l'escalier.
