Situation — This exceptional casa is located in a residential area close to the Casa de la Trova (nightspot) and Plaza Mayor.

Hostal Alameda is owned by Daniela (a Québécoise settled in Cuba for 11 years) who rents two bedrooms decorated with taste (as is the whole casa indeed !) each with its own private bathroom; also, a living and dining area adjoining the kitchen (photo at left) as well as an upstairs terrace with vistas of the sea and mountains ...
Kitchen wise .... Dany is an excellent chef who can prepare varied fare as original as they are delicious ! It promises to be the top casa of Trinidad... And even of Cuba !!!!
Rates : 30cuc per night per bedroom (2 adults max.), meals 15cuc/person, breakfasts 5cuc. Higher than average for Trinidad, but it's truly an incomparable casa !!!"

Comment — « Dani has spent more than a decade lovingly restoring this truly spectacular casa. The story of her journey could fill many nights on the terrace. She is a warm and a gracious host that makes you feel welcome in her home. The photos of her kitchen should give you some insight into how spectacular her cooking is. She has a wine cellar, she grows her own herbs and vegetables and jars her own preserves.
We celebrated my son's 3rd birthday with Dani and she made us salad with greens from her garden, pizza with sun dried tomatoes that she dried herself, and a stunning pineapple upside down cake that she made completely from scratch. Topped off with two bottles of wine from her cellar !
If you are looking for a unique Cuban experience and can leave the TV and the AC at home and are looking for history, music, laughter and a warm stay, then call Dani. You won't be disappointed. « Je voulais vous signaler l'ouverture d'une casa vraiment hors catégorie (5* au moins! ;)) en plein centre du vieux Trinidad... C'est l'Hostal Alameda : Daniela (une Québécoise installée à Cuba depuis 11 ans) loue deux chambres décorées avec goût (comme toute la maison d'ailleurs!) avec sdb privée, terrasse, vue mer et montagne...
« Et côté fourneaux.... Dany est une exellente cuisinière et elle offre des quantités de plats aussi originaux que délicieux ! Je vous conseillerais vraiment de mettre cette adresse sur le site, et lors de votre prochain voyage, passez la voir... Ça promet de devenir le top de la casa à Trinidad... Et peut-être même à Cuba!!!!
