This huge and imposing colonial belongs to Miguel, grandson of one of the famous historical figures of Trinidad, founder of a cigarette maker La Nueva Era (photo below). His abuelo (grand dad) was one of the 80 founding fathers of the very influential Asturiano Society which controlled part of Spanish colony during its golden era. Miguel's sons are engineers now living in Spain, one of whom is the present Count of Brunet of the family (mother's branch) who built what is now the fabulous restaured Museo Romantico Palacio Brunet on Plaza Mayor, a fabulous job undertaken by Liliana's Zerquera's father.

Don't worry, you don't have to leave your shoes at the door but will nonetheless admire the large living room (portal) with its arcades, the main dining room and yet another one on a wide balcony overlooking a grand patio with its well (pozo) and a recently-installed aviary. Along the patio, the large ventilated (not all air-conditioned) bedrooms with their private ensuite bathrooms.

Meals are served in the back of the patio near the remarkable kitchen; privacy assured and the rates are the same as elsewhere. Miguel does not impose his family tree and history at all. He's just a regular guy. As a matter of fact, we learned all this history through books and local historians.

Magnifique et immense coloniale où réside Miguel, petit-fils d'un des plus célèbres commercants de Trinidad.

Son grand-papa était un cigarettier célèbre et un des tout premiers promoteurs immobiliers de la ville et un des 80 membres fondateurs de Cuba, les Asturianos; ses fils, des ingénieurs, habitent en Espagne.

Un des deux est l'actuel comte de Brunet du musée Romantico Palacio Brunet sur la Plaza Mayor.

Le grand salon à l'entrée s'ouvre sur une salle à grandes arcades, une salle à dîner intérieure puis une autre sur un vaste balcon, un patio avec puits.

Le long du patio une vaste voilière et une grande variété d'oiseaux et les grandes chambres ventilées (pas toutes climatisées), chacune avec grande salle de bain privée.

Repas servis et préparée par une gentille et très habile cuisinière; intimité assurée.

Tarifs usuels, pas plus cher qu'ailleurs.

Miguel, un homme calme, n'impose nullement son titre — nous avons appris l'histoire familiale par les historiens.

A pocos pasos del terminal de Viazul, frente al restaurante Las Ruinas de LLeoncy, junto a la Casa Font y cerca de la Plaza Mayor, esa hermoso palacio colonial era construido por el abuelo de Miguel, unos comerciantes lo más conocidos de la ciudad en la epoca colonial y uno de los 80 miembros fundadores de la famosa sociedad de los Asturianos. Sus hijos, ingenieros, viven en España. Uno de ellos es el actual Conde Brunet - del Palacio Brunet Museo Romántico en la Plaza Mayor, gracias.

El gran salón en la entrada se abre a una gran sala de juegos, un comedor interior y otro en un amplio balcón, un patio con pozo y por el patio, un dormitorio con gran cuarto de baño .

Comidas, privacidad asegurada. Estándar de las tasas, no más caros que en otros lugares.

Miguel, un hombre tranquilo, no el título - que hemos aprendido de la historia de la familia por los historiadores.
